NFC macOS App Release 1.4: New UI Capabilities & Fixes We've been busy over the past few days shipping a wave of improvements to  NFC App. Here's a look at what's new on the UI side. Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Tag Support You can now create and write Bluetooth pairing tags directly from the app.  Editing existing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi tags is also fully supported — select a  tag, open the context menu, and update your settings in place. vCard Support You can now create vCard contact records directly in the app using the built-in  form, with full support for multiple phone numbers, address, nickname, and  notes. vCard records can also be imported from your Mac's Contacts app or from a .vcf file. All vCard records are fully editable — select a record and choose  Edit Tag to update the contact details. NFC IDEAS App 2.3.2 - New Features

Write Wi-Fi NFC Tags Write Wi-Fi NFC Tags in the Mac application to compliment the Mobile iOS App. Simple create an NFC Wi-Fi record instance, then Write a Tag on your desired NFC Tag Technology.  Once complete, you can read this Wi-Fi Credential into the iPhone to perform Wi-Fi Handover operations.  This makes it easy to share your Wi-Fi Access Point with friends and visitors. Wi-Fi Tag Handover Wi-Fi Tag handover has been added to the NFC IDEAS App.  This feature provides the facility to Join a WiFi network by simply reading an NFC Tag.  As demonstrated below, the App will prompt to Join the Wi-Fi.   As a cool little extension, you can share this Wi-Fi network with others by clicking on the Share link.  Upon receipt of this link, others can click on the " SSID: <Name> " link to perform the same operation on their iOS device. NFC IDEAS App 2.2 - New Features

A new set of features is now available in the NFC IDEAS App for iPhone 7/8, iPhone 7/8 plus and iPhone X. Contacts & vCard If an NFC tag containing a vCard is scanned, the iOS contacts view will be presented displaying the content of the vCard.  This feature makes it possible to quickly share NFC business cards or media encoded with vCard information with others.  The contacts view can message, call, share contact, navigate and more with this data. The NFC IDEAS Mac app  makes it easy to encode contacts on NFC tags, or NFC enabled business cards.  Sharing Native iOS sharing is built into the Scan and History views.  The app makes it possible to share the NFC content or payloads with others to message, e-mail, use social media and more.  Safari Native iOS Safari is built into the app.  To use the this feature open the Preferences, and turn on the Use Safari switch (green).  Then scanning an NFC tag which contains ...

NFC IDEAS iOS11 beta available for download

Hi, The NFC IDEAS iOS app with CoreNFC Framework integration has been approved by Apple, and is now available for download from TestFlight.  To participate in the beta, just tweet  us your email, or send email to info@nfcideas.com . This enables your device to read NFC tags without a peripheral device. You will need to update your iPhone7 or iPhone 7 Plus device to iOS 11.  Apple released iOS 11 for public beta on Monday, June 26, 2017.  Go to the  Apple Beta Software Program  for information on joining the program.
